Are you struggling with health issues?

Chronic health issues are on the rise. Approximately 1 in 2 people in the USA have one. Many people are bogged down by symptoms like fatigue, low vitality, brain fog, headaches, and mood swings. They search for answers from doctors and therapists, yet struggle to find them. I know, because I was one of them!

Nutrition is often not the first place people look to solve their problems. But the fact is, our entire bodies are built out of what we eat. Every single chemical reaction in your body (of which there are billions happening all of the time!) depends on the foods you eat in order to function optimally. Therefore, nutrition is a vital component to optimal health, and improper nutrition is a likely culprit for the issues you’re facing.

I’m on a mission to reduce unnecessary suffering on the planet - and that includes preventable poor health issues.

Luckily, nature has provided us with many of the tools we need in order to live full, vibrant, and healthy lives. Thus, many of us try different diets with the best of intentions. Yet there is no one-size-fits-all approach. So if you’ve tried a specific diet and it either didn’t help you or made things worse, don’t worry. I get it. I’m not going to try to force you into a cookie-cutter plan that wasn’t designed for you.

In fact, I do the opposite. I conduct a detailed analysis of your health history, conduct a nutritional assessment, and do a deep dive into your personal food and mood history in order to come up with personalized, bio-individual recommendations meant specifically for your body, your circumstances, and your life.

Nutritional Therapy helped me recover from many of my own mysterious health issues, and I know the power it has to turn lives around. I can’t wait to see how Nutritional Therapy can change your life, too!

I believe healthy food can taste yummy, cooking can be fun, and taking care of your body through nutrition is an investment that pays multifold dividends in every area of your life.

Are you ready for something different?

If you have health issues, maybe you’ve gone to a doctor, therapist, coach, personal trainer, or tried a diet that your favorite podcaster swears by, but nothing has worked.

Your doctor tells you that they can’t find anything wrong, or that there’s nothing they can do except prescribe you meds.

Your therapist is helping you cope without trying to find the root cause, or says that trauma is at the root of all of your issues (yet despite all the trauma work you’ve done, your health issues haven’t actually improved).

Your coach tells you to think positively and manifest the life you want but you still feel crummy, and lately you've started to blame yourself.

Your personal trainer told you to eat healthier but you’re not sure what that means, or they gave you a diet that doesn't feel good or sustainable for your body.

The diet your favorite podcaster, influencer, or celebrity swears by made exactly no difference for you, or worse, made you feel even worse.

Are you sick of all of that? Me too. I’ve tried it all - the doctor, the therapist, the coach, the trainer, and the podcaster. But I wasn’t able to find the answer until I found Depth Hypnosis, Nutritional Therapy, Functional Medicine, and truly competent providers who helped me help myself. And now I want to help you.

 Nutritional Therapy & My Philosophy

Nutritional Therapy is a holistic nutritional approach that focuses on helping people become optimally well through nutrient-dense whole foods. Nutritional Therapy combines ancestral wisdom with modern science to help you feel better in a natural, balanced, and enjoyable way. Nutritional Therapy is bio-individual, meaning that you are as unique as your ancestry, genetics, environment, lifestyle, and upbringing. It looks at your biology, symptoms, and circumstances, and tailors a unique approach to you rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

To start, you will complete thorough questionnaires about your health history and food and mood which will help me identify things you can do to improve your health and wellness.

In addition to using whole foods, Nutritional Therapy also helps you through targeted supplementation for things you may be struggling with, including nutrient supplementation to help with deficiencies as well as natural remedies for symptom relief and system balance. Nutritional Therapy also includes lifestyle interventions, such as stress reduction, sleep improvement, clean living, movement, local and organic food options, and tips to make cooking more enjoyable and rewarding.

As a Nutritional Therapist, I currently do not offer blood work or labs. I am working on a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine, and plan to run labs later on in my practice. This will be a nice add-on, but I plan to always use food first to help people take great care of their bodies before running labs. There are no short-cuts. Addressing the foundations first before bringing out the big guns is crucial for success!

I was specifically drawn to Nutritional Therapy over the conventional dietetics route because Nutritional Therapy is grounded in ancestral wisdom as well as modern evidence-based practice.

Conventional dietetics helps train practitioners to work in hospitals and is closely tied with the modern medical and agricultural system. While the modern medical system is excellent for helping with myriad problems successfully, many people (myself included) who struggle with mysterious health issues are told they can’t be helped, that there is nothing wrong with them, or are given medication to mask symptoms.

While the modern agricultural system has done wonders for efficiency and feeding many people cheaply, it doesn’t treat animals or the earth well. Soils are becoming depleted. The nutrient quality of our food has decreased dramatically over the years and 94% of Americans are now nutrient-deficient in at least one thing. Conventional agriculture also leaves us cut off from our local communities and farms, contributing to the loneliness epidemic. Overall, the conventional way of living, eating, and doing medicine has left many of us sick, stressed, and miserable. I want something different. Don’t you?

I prefer to take a holistic and root-cause approach. I believe you do not need to have been given a conventional diagnosis to be suffering and in need of help, and I believe that Nutritional Therapy can help improve your well-being alongside conventional help if you have been given a diagnosis. Most of all, I believe optimal health and vitality are possible and I want to help you feel vibrant, fully alive, and well cared for.

While I respect Registered Dieticians and see an important place for them in the medical system, I wanted a different education for myself. I specifically decided to take an alternative route because it’s what helped me most, it’s more in alignment with my values, and it takes the root-cause approach I deeply believe in.

In my nutrition practice, I believe that...

Your body and life circumstances are unique, and an approach should be tailor-made for you

Nature and your inner wisdom have the power to help you reverse chronic health issues

In addition to their healing benefits, healthy whole foods can be yummy and cooking can be fun!

Taking care of your health from a place of love is not synonymous with diet culture

Caring for your body through nutrition is an investment that pays multifold dividends in every area of your life.
